Thailand 2005-2006 Home Base and Eldertreks Tour

This very long travel day was handled with heroic last minute tactical planning by Pontus and Bee after our flight from Mae Hong Son to Chiang Mai was cancelled two days ago. We left Fern Resort at 7:30 in our three packed vans, made it back to one of our previous lunch stops for a pit stop before charging down the mountain roads to make it to Chiang Mai for our mid day flight to Bangkok. Bee got us Subway sandwiches to gobble before catching our short flight. Happy to have large Toyota vans back at Bangkok airport, we arrived at Royal River Hotel by 5:30. We were revived with showers and clean clothes before we enjoyed the ample Royal River Terrace buffet.
